Last television season I was all about Alex O’Loughlin on Moonlight. Since Moonlight is cancelled, I expect this season I’ll be raving for another Australian actor — Simon Baker! He’ll be starring in The Mentalist this Fall on CBS. Tuesday nights right after NCIS.

I got a chance to watch the pilot the other day and you can check out my review of The Mentalist tv series before it premieres on Sept. 23rd.

As of a couple of days ago, Moonlight has been officially cancelled by CBS and it looks like it isn’t headed anywhere else either. Deadline Hollywood Daily has the best reporting on the scoop and you can also read Alex O’Loughlin’s message about the cancellation on his MySpace blog.

So that’s a couple of my favorite shows gone this season as both New Amsterdam and Journeyman are cancelled as well. Ugh.

In other news, yes it sure looked like I abandoned this blog, but I haven’t. Right now all comments are turned off as I have over 3000 spam comments I need to delete and stupid Wordpress will only let me do 100 at a time. Once that is done I need to look for a way to allow comments while reducing the influx of spam. Once I do, I will reopen comments.

I will also be regularly posting again, starting next week. Look forward to having you as a reader.

I haven’t had a lot of time the past couple of weeks to make many posts here as I’m busy planning at trip, but I promise I will be back in action soon with hot drooling Aussie man love. In the meantime, check out my friend Isa’s page on the Five Sexiest Englishmen. I heartily concur on some of her choices, particularly Clive Owen (yummy) and Daniel Craig.

Also, 3:10 to Yuma is out on DVD today, so if you like Russell Crowe and Christian Bale, you should read my review of 3:10 to Yuma and grab yourself a copy of the DVD (preferably from my page, yo!)

Funnily enough, some of my favorite Aussies were born British, as I’m sure many of you know.

Okay, when I first heard about Alex going to the charity drive thingy, I actually toyed with the idea of pricelining some airline tickets and just heading out to LA for the weekend. Then I decided I should be responsible. Well, stupid, stupid me! Never again. Next time I am going if he does something

Stunningly creepy is the only way to describe this new image of Heath Ledger as The Joker. I seriously cannot wait to see this movie. The latest issue of Empire magazine has the scoop. UK residents should be able to pick it up shortly and it’ll land on US shores soon thereafter.

Alex O’Loughlin is going to be at Pole Position Raceway in Corona, CA this morning at 9:30 a.m. to participate in the toy drive.  A bunch of CBS celebs will be racing Go Karts. With any luck, we’ll have some pics tomorrow night from either the wire services or from fans who are lucky enough to live in the area.  Yes, I hate them all!
